Young people benefited by CAC and FCB stand out in International Tournament.

18 students and 2 coaches from the southwest region, accompanied by the director of the Central Barahona Foundation (FCB), represented the Dominican Republic in the Regional RBI Tournament organized by Major League Baseball in July 2018 at the historic sports complex Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.

The entire team consisting of 15 girls, between the ages of 14 and 19 years, represented the Dominican Republic in the “Softball” category.  They are all part of the RBI Barahona sports-educational program run by FCB and sponsored by the CAC.  In addition, the RBI Barahona program has 2 students selected in the senior category (16-18 years) and 1 in the junior category (14-15 years).

Since the signing of the collaboration agreement between the MLB and the FCB four years ago, CAC’s contribution to education, sport, and community development has paid off.  Through this focus on CSR, it has thus far impacted the lives of more than 2,400 young people.
